A Vacancy exists for the following position in the Generation Department at
LUCELEC’s Cul de Sac Depot.
Responsibilities:
- To assist in the operation and monitoring of Generating plant and auxiliary equipment at the Company’s power stations.
Qualifications:
Suitable candidates should have:
- Completed a secondary school education with at least five (5) CXC courses including English and Mathematics at General Proficiency, Grade III or higher.
- Certificate or other relevant certification in Electrical Installation or Diesel Mechanics
- At least eighteen (18) months experience in a related field.
Other requirements:
- Good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Power Plant Operations and Diesel Mechanics
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with little or no supervision
- Ability to work with a high degree of independence to initiate and complete work assignments
- Ability to work in a Power Station environment where there is heat and noise
- A desire to learn and grow, both personally and professionally
