Castries, October 10, 2025 – St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) wishes to advise the motoring public and residents of Soufriere of maintenance works at Soufriere near Courts Saint Lucia, Bank of Saint Lucia and Big Yard restaurant, on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. These works will allow LUCELEC to undertake pole and line maintenance.

There will be no interruption of electrical service during the maintenance. The sidewalks, however, in these affected areas will be blocked and intermittent traffic disruptions are expected.

Road users are encouraged to observe all safety measures including reflective tape, cones, barriers, and warning signs, which will be in place to designate the work area.

LUCELEC regrets any inconvenience to residents of the affected communities and the motoring public and thanks the public for their understanding and patience.
