St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) is undertaking major improvements to three of its seven substations to reinforce its transmission network.

At two of these substations – in Praslin and Soufriere – the work was necessitated by major transformer failures in in November 2011 and May 2012 respectively.

St Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) launched its 19^th Health and Safety Month on Monday March 2, 2015 at its Cul de Sac facility.

A series of workshops have been planned for LUCELEC Staff and Contractors including “Medical Insurance Benefits”, “Contractor Safety”, “Medicine Management”, “Ebola” and “Fire Safety” as part of activities that will culminate with a Wellness Walk on Sunday March 29, 2015.

St Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) has named Moses Montoute of its Transmission and Distribution Department the 2014 LUCELEC Employee of the Year.  Mr Montoute, who joined the company in August 2012, is no stranger to the LUCELEC winning circle having been recognized multiple times as an Employee of the Quarter.
