Tropical Storm Kirk Electricity System Update #3

Castries, September 28, 2018 – Power restoration work following the passage of Tropical Storm Kirk continues. To date we have restored power to most of the North including: Gros-Islet, Marisule through to Trouya and Bois d’Orange; Monchy through to Desrameaux and Plateau; Castries, Top of Morne Fortune through to Pavee; Ciceron, Monier, Corinth and Bonne Terre.

Within these areas, there are specific pockets without electricity and these include: Georgeville, Ferrands; parts of Beausejour and Cap Estate; a portion of Monchy near La Retraite; a number of communities in Babonneau and Windward Islands Gases Gap in Marisule.

In the South, power has been restored to most areas with smaller pockets in Beau soleil in Saltibus, Belle Fond, Bois Den in Soufriere, La Haut through to Colembette, Bouton and Jesneau in Soufriere without power.

Some isolated faults may take a little longer to resolve as the crews give priority to the more major faults. The smaller, localised faults such as broken service lines (from the pole to the meter) will be taken care of once the more critical faults are repaired.

Customers can report any issues to our Trouble Call Department in the North (from Cap Estate to Dennery) at 452-2165 and in the South (from Praslin to Soufriere) at 457-4800.
