LUCELEC Meter Replacement Programme To Conclude In June

Castries, June 11, 2026 – St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) advises customers that from Monday, June 15 to Friday, June 26, the company will complete its island-wide meter replacement campaign targeting meters that are 15 years and older.

This final phase concludes a project initiated in 2025 and forms part of LUCELEC’s ongoing investment in maintaining a safe, reliable, and efficient electricity service.

A total of 489 customers will be supported in this phase. Upon completion, a total of 1, 445 meters will have been replaced as part of this upgrade to the Company’s metering infrastructure in keeping with LUCELEC’s service commitment to meet the highest industry quality and safety standards.

The new meters will ensure continued accuracy in customer usage readings and offer an improved customer service experience. All replacements will be completed at no cost to customers, and LUCELEC’s technicians will work diligently to minimize any inconvenience.

What Customers Can Expect:

• Meter replacements will occur between June 15 and continue through to June 26, 2026.   
• Customers will receive at least 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled replacement.
• Works will be carried out by uniformed LUCELEC technicians with proper, readily available identification.
• In most instances, the replacement process will take less than 30 minutes.

Customers are asked to ensure that there is a clear and unobstructed path to their meter to facilitate a smooth process.
