Dennery residents are being encouraged to attend a town hall meeting to discuss a proposed wind farm to be located near the Bordelais Correctional Facility.  The meeting is planned for Wednesday, May 18, from 6:30pm at the Clendon Mason Secondary School.

Saint Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) has begun exploratory works to establish a substation in Ti Rocher, Castries.

The works include creating an access path to the proposed site for the team undertaking the geotechnical study. An environmental impact assessment (EIA) study will also be conducted. The results of these will inform decisions on the design of the substation and associated works. If the results of the studies are favourable, the project is expected to get underway in 2016.
