Close to one hundred (100) people attended the Town Hall Meeting in Dennery to discuss the proposed 12 megawatt (MW) wind farm to be located near the Bordelais Correctional Facility. The wind farm is a joint project of St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) and Windtex Energy, a wind developer from the US.

The meeting received presentations from the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Energy, Science and Technology, LUCELEC and Windtex Energy on the purpose, current status and implementation schedule for the wind farm.
