LUCELEC Teams Up With Saint Lucia Zouks

St Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) is an Official Sponsor of the Saint Lucia Zouks, the locally based cricket team in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

The Zouks will play four home games at the Beausejour Cricket Ground from June 21-28, 2015. In order to ensure LUCELEC staff and customers get the chance to take in some of the action, the company is giving away a number of tickets for each match.

All LUCELEC customers who pay their electricity bill in full, days ahead of each Match Day will automatically qualify for a chance to win one of 6 tickets per match.

LUCELEC staff will have an opportunity to receive tickets for the Choiseul stand and company Corporate Box through an internal lottery system.

LUCELEC Managing Director Trevor Louisy says the decision to support the Zouks is part of the company’s longstanding commitment to sports.

“There are just so many social, physical and psychological benefits that can be derived from sports not to mention the potential for economic benefit to the country from the CPL. We are also pleased that there are a number of our Saint Lucian cricketers on the team. This was an opportunity to demonstrate our support to these athletes who have demonstrated time and time again that success is not tied to who you are or where you’re from but is about talent, commitment and discipline,” he says.

 The St Lucia Zouks is captained by local phenomenon Darren Sammy and also includes fellow Saint Lucians Keddy Lesporis, and Johnson Charles.
