LUCELEC Doing Its Part To Promote Literacy Among Primary School Students

The annual Rainforest of Reading Festival organized by One World School House Foundation was held in March 2016 at Castries and Vieux-Fort. This is the third year the festival, with support from St Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) was held in Saint Lucia.

Seventy-seven hundred (7,700) students from all seventy-four (74) primary schools on the island participated in the Reading Festival. The activity is endorsed by the Ministry of Education and held under the patronage of H.E Governor-General Dame Pearlette Louisy.

35 Companies Express Interest In Constructing LUCELEC Solar Farm

St Lucia Electricity Services Limited’s (LUCELEC) Request for Proposals (RFP) for the construction of a 3 megawatt (MW) solar energy farm is drawing significant interest from around the world.   A recent meeting and site visit for interested bidders attracted seventy representatives from thirty-five companies from the US, Canada, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, many of whom are partnering with local solar, engineering and construction firms.

LUCELEC's Sans Souci Office Remains Closed To The Public

St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC)’s offices at Sans Souci will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday next week (March 14 &15).  This is to allow the company to continue efforts to address suspected air quality issues in the building that led to its closure on Tuesday, March 8.
