Castries, August 26, 2024 – The St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) announces the opening of its new customer service office at the CARILEC Building in Sans Souci. To ensure the comfort and safety of all customers and employees, a phased approached or soft opening will take effect on Tuesday August 27, 2024.  

Castries, August 20, 2024 – At 8:53 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024, St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) experienced a loss of service to approximately 20% of its valued customers.

The outage was caused by a fault on its distribution network due to excavation works that damaged a section of underground cable close to the LUCELEC Cul-de-Sac substation.

LUCELEC technical teams immediately began network system repairs with restoration beginning at 9:37 a.m. and ending at 2:32 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

Castries, August 15, 2024 – Mrs. Hester Hyacinth has been appointed the St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) Senior Manager – Finance & Accounts effective Monday, July 1, 2024.

Mrs Hyacinth is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and previously served as the company’s Management Accountant and then Financial Reporting Account.

She has an excellent record of performance during her more than 16-year tenure at LUCELEC including the 2022 Award for Supervisor of the Year Grades 7-9.
